Assembly Payments, founded in 2013, has been one of the fastest growing fintechs in Australia, with a presence in Singapore, India, Philippines and the US. Specialising in building automated payment workflows, with APIs, to reduce the complexity of running both traditional and digital-native businesses.

CurrencyFair, founded in 2010 and with offices in Ireland, UK, Hong-Kong, Singapore & Australia, is a global cross-border payments fintech that serves individuals and businesses with international payments and currency exchange through its proprietary global platform.

The Zai brand focuses on mid-market and enterprise-level business customers in the world of integrated financial services, including payments, FX, fraud management, reconciliation and more. While the CurrencyFair brand continues as the home for consumers and small businesses who want faster, cheaper foreign exchange.

Zai has over 170 employees, growing to 450 by 2025 and we are now expanding our presence across APAC, Europe, the Middle-East, and the US. We are looking for skilled, motivated and passionate people who want to be part of the next generation of financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and execute the Sales Plan for his/her region
  • Build, manage, and lead a high performing team to achieve/exceed OKR’s and revenue targets
  • Attain or exceed the designated sales growth targets for the state
  • Provide sales insights, campaign ideas and recommendations that will specifically lead generation team secure more leads and opportunities
  • Work alongside Operations, Product and Marketing teams to coordinate and manage incidents and outages with your state
  • Develop, outline, and implement plans and strategies to increase the profitability of products and services
  • Banked Revenue as measured in end of month reporting through newly converted sales opportunities
  • Proactive outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, Phone calls, meetings, outbound business canvassing, Google, Forums, Industry conferences or meetups
  • Accuracy and up to date lead activity management through sales cycle management in business systems (Outlook, Gdrive, SalesforceCRM etc)
  • Engage in cross-sell activities of existing customers with new product suites to obtain a wider share of wallet
  • Obtain closed-won opportunities that produce revenue in line with individual and business targets.
  • Obtain new closed-won opportunities to go live and transact
  • Increased revenue from existing Managed Accounts MoM
  • A Reduction of customer churn from existing Managed Accounts MoM
  • Engage and network with Industry events and Expo’s
  • Achieve positive customer engagement outcomes as measured by Net promoter score.
  • Coach, train, and mentor the Sales Development team in NSW
  • Motivate, Coach and Develop a team to meet sales targets
  • Manage performance, wellbeing and engagement by creating a culture of achievement and satisfaction.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in a client-facing Sales/Acquisition capacity within a Payment/FinTech/Card Acquiring organization & a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • A true hunter with a passion for payments & experience with full-cycle sales management from lead generation to merchant go-live implementation
  • Strong technical background/knowledge with a focus on API and integration/payment gateway technologies, able to build great relationships with highly technical customers
  • Excellent presentation, diplomacy & negotiation skills with outstanding verbal & written communications, developing proposals & decks for customer/prospects presentations

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience working independently within a fast-paced, high-growth & agile environment, self-driven and outcome-oriented (Internet/Software companies)
  • Tech Stack: CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) G-Suite, Slack, Atlassian Suite (Confluence & Jira)
