The mission of the Managed Risk Services (MRS) organization is to be the unrivalled advisor for global payment fraud management, and our vision is to be the most valuable partner in lasting client relationships.

The Managed Risk Analyst will help Visa and Cybersource clients manage the risk of taking payments (predominantly credit and debit card) online. This will include analysing order data to identify emerging fraud trends, developing strategies to mitigate these trends, and working closely with Cybersource clients to implement these strategies using a combination of Visa, Cybersource, and industry tools.

As Part Of This Role You Will

  • Work with (typically) 8-12 acquirers / e-commerce merchants to help them manage Cybersource risk management products to prevent online card fraud.
  • Analyse transaction data with a view to optimizing risk management strategies for clients, providing reports on a regular basis.
  • Take a proactive approach to staying up to date with product developments by monitoring code release notes and knowledge sharing within the team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable in owning fraud related business strategies, to help our clients achieve their business goals.
  • Manage the overall Cybersource product go-live process including set-up, delivery of multi-day workshops. Product training may be conducted in either in-person or be online based.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of industry best practice and emerging trends and technologies within payment risk management.
  • Exercise your collaboration skills with your internal stakeholders to support their deliverables and embrace Visa’s focus on creating success
  • Be an advocate for our products, passing leads, opportunities to internal stakeholders where identified.
  • You’ll need to be confident presenting to key external stakeholders, demonstrating our products, showcase its benefits, and can help client’s problem solve by using Visa and CYBS products.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership.

QualificationsCould this be for you? A great candidate for this role will:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a fraud team at a financial institution or ecommerce merchant. Must also have experience of interpreting results from fraud tools used to combat online card fraud (3DSecure, device fingerprinting, IP geolocation, velocity, neural scoring etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports, and the skills to communicate complex concepts and results to customers via phone, email, or face to face engagements.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Access skills (for example, use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP queries, linking Excel to databases etc.).
  • Experience of analyzing large sets of transaction data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Experience of working with Tableau and SQL.

What Will Also Help

  • Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in the payments industry.
  • A strong communicator, someone who can influence decisions at multiple levels and confident speaking to key stakeholders.
  • Fluency in an additional language on top of English will be helpful.
