About The Role

  • Overseeing a large development squad that is able to cover both web and app initiatives, supported by operational expertise across analytics, content and design.
  • Work with partners and internal teams to augment/ integrate existing capabilities and to orchestrate and optimise customer journeys across WooliesX properties as well as through the partner ecosystem.
  • Responsible for the strategy and roadmap of their product mission ensuring it drives value to the customer, business and is technically feasible. They ensure the squad understands the “what” and “why” of what they need to deliver.
  • Thought leader and domain expert for their product and mission.
  • Responsible for end-to-end execution of their initiatives, from discovery to delivery.
  • Establish clear frameworks, criteria and processes for making consistent, commercial trade-offs and decisions regarding the product portfolio.
  • Through quarterly Squad OKRs defines the objectives and key success measures for the team.
  • Accountable for the results (business outcome) of their squad.
  • Fosters and maintains relationships with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment around backlog and priorities.
  • Works closely with Product Managers across Tribes to manage dependencies and risk.
  • Champion and role model commerciality within the Product team throughout product prioritisation, product delivery and in-market management activities.
  • Facilitate communication and reporting to the product Chapter Lead and Tribe Lead on the product agenda and prioritisation of product initiatives.
  • Interacting with third party partners on requirements and ongoing management of roadmap.
  • Communicates to senior stakeholders on progress of initiatives.
  • Adheres to best practice ways of working within their squad.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Ownership of a suite of Products.
  • Own agile product development process from product management point of view.
  • Develop &/OR Iterate and implement product strategies aligned with the WooliesX and Woolworths Group strategies.
  • Ownership of the Product Suite Roadmap and Digital Capability to ensure Woolworths remains at the forefront of Digital Retail in Australia.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the product, market, and competition.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and products.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the market place and identify future technology and/or product opportunities that can be fed into the strategy.
  • Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.
  • Analyse potential partner relationships for the product and lead the effort to integrate our applications with other leading industry systems.

Skills Required

  • Previous working experience as a Product Manager for 4+ years.
  • Proven ability at identifying both the required customer experience as well as the capabilities required to support it.
  • Proven track record of managing Digital Product Roadmaps, and incremental Customer, Business and Technology benefits.
  • Relevant experience in personalisation and data analytics. Experience in AI / ML highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of web and ecommerce technologies.
  • Experience in Digital organisations with a track record of improving the Customer Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodology for product development.
  • Strong influencing skills and leadership skills.
  • Customer first mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Innovative thinking and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
