Get to know the Team:

The Regional Merchant team was established to represent the voice of all types of merchants in Grab (e.g. GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabPay, GrabAds, etc). We advocate for merchant interests and drive the holistic needs of a merchant (e.g. merchant financials, return on investment, merchant experience). We focus on areas where it is best positioned to deliver impact and create value. Typically, this would be in close collaboration with a large group of region-wide, cross-functional teams (e.g. product, analytics, user experience, support, product marketing, CRM, ops, sales, account managers ).

Get to know the Role:

You will create, plan and drive initiatives to empower our merchants to grow with Grab, solve their everyday needs, and provide the best merchant love at the same time. You will work cross-functionally with regional & country stakeholders that span across all business verticals (e.g. GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabPay, GrabAds), product, analytics and other functions.

The ideal candidate will be one who is driven, structured, and has a strong sense of ownership; has superb program management skills and feels comfortable working with and making decisions using data. You are passionate about contributing real/immediate impact to our society. You are comfortable working in an ambiguous and evolving situation.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Voice of Merchants: Understand different merchant persona/groups’ needs; gather insights from sales, ops, analytics and product teams; translate these into programs / actions (product features or business improvements).
  • Program Management: End- to-end ownership and implementation of large initiatives. Influence prioritization cross-functionally and project-manage roadmaps to ensure needle-moving projects are executed successfully.
  • Stakeholder Management: Be a trusted regional business partner for product, analytics, account managers, operations and other diverse teams for merchant-related initiatives. Ensure partner teams are aligned in terms of objective, direction, resourcing, and well-informed on all strategic initiatives.
  • Analytics: Work with analytics and other relevant teams to design business metrics, analyse performance, derive actionable insights, and communicate progress & impact across the organization.
  • Product Roadmap Management: As the merchant expert and business owner of your domain, you understand merchants’ pain-points and requirements; formulate high-level recommendations/solutions to be communicated to product & engineering teams; help drive prioritization decisions and help drive the eventual product adoption.
  • Get your Hands Dirty: Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible impact (project plans, status reports, day-to-day execution with tech/business/countries, etc.)

The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/MBA degree from renowned institute
  • 2 - 4 years of working experience in technology consulting/ management consulting/ F&B/ or related industries
  • Superb communication and presentation skills. Able to articulate problems and obtain buy-ins from different teams
  • Skilled at navigating through extremely fast-faced, complex and ambiguous environments
  • Handles multiple competing priorities in an ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
