We are looking for a Business Analyst – Practice Manager to join our growing Technology team. 

Reporting to the Head of Platforms and Project Delivery, the BA Practice Manager is responsible for the overall practice capability and its staff. The role is tasked with continually reviewing and uplifting capabilities in terms of skills, knowledge, and behavioural competencies across the practice. The scope of the role incorporates five pillars that the BA Practice Manager is accountable for:

  • Practice Enablement
  • Practice Health and Hygiene
  • People Leadership
  • Practice Governance including risk, auditing, and financial management
  • Practice Strategy

The responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for setting and executing Cuscal’s BA strategy aligned to the overarching business strategy, including the implementation of aligned objectives and key results.
  • Establishing and disseminating the best practices, ways of working, minimum standards, artefacts, and quality stage gates for the discipline at a macro level including scalability of practice
  • Identifying, endorsing, and providing upskilling, training, and career development opportunities in the practice
  • Overall accountability of Practice health, hygiene, governance, and performance including reporting of the practice
  • Building the BA roadmap and overall plan driving its consistent delivery and benchmarking the ROI against measurable metrics / value
  • Collaborating with Domain & Client Delivery Group stakeholders and work closely with them to understand business needs including scope, quality, time, and cost
  • Responsible for the compliance and governance across the use of BA tools, templates, techniques methodology and frameworks
  • Where appropriate support and resolve impediments relevant to the BA practice.
  • Working closely with Domain leads on workforce planning, resourcing, and capability uplift
  • Providing leadership and direction for the direct reports (BA Leads) including overall practice and ensure high quality service delivery for internal and external customers
  • Overall responsibility for the budget that supports the Practice

  About You

This is a business-critical role within the organisation and for this reason the ideal candidate does need to be a seasoned leader with extensive experience in leading a team. This includes but not limited to talent performance management, coaching and mentoring.

You will have a solid understanding of the principles of business analysis and the ability to work with a diverse workforce within an agile environment. As a strategic thinker you will have demonstrated capabilities of creating ground-up frameworks, practices and applying a continuous improvement initiative stream to improve overall departments and proven track record of making effective decisions at a senior level.

If you have similar experience in a values based and high-performance environment, then we would love to hear from you. Experience in payments or financial services with a fundamental understanding of PCI and its surrounding legal and regulatory requirements would be highly desired.
