Overview

The APMD Market Development team is looking for a Vice-President to lead the Regional Retail (merchant) team within Retail & Commerce vertical.

You and your team will be accountable for delivering significant incremental revenue through the creation of new Global and Regional strategic merchant partnerships that enable mutual success.

In this client facing role you will also oversee the existing portfolio of partnerships, ensuring the team defends, optimizes and generates new revenue opportunities. Defining and executing against the segment strategies, the ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Role

• Manage and grow revenue driving partnerships with Global and Regional merchant partners

• Initiate strategic business conversations with key decision makers around new opportunities with a focus on driving regional market share, volume and revenue growth

• Manage P&L and deal management for Regional Merchant segment.

• Prioritize business development efforts and sell-in strategies to support short, medium and long term objectives

• Ensure global alignment and manage global interests across the segment, working in close partnership with D&S, Product, IMK and NAM to execute global product and partner strategies

All About You, the ideal candidate for this position should

• Own the strategy for regional merchants (non-digital)

• Lead, develop and embed a centralized account management strategy

• Have broad experience with sales strategy development and execution in complex/global accounts

• Provide consultative analysis, industry insights and thought leadership to the customer and MA peers Globally/Divisionally and within the markets

• Demonstrate transformative people leadership skills

• Ability to develop and maintain high quality relationships

• Financial/business acumen

• Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. product development, business development, marketing, operations, risk, etc

• Experience working with Merchants/non traditional partners within MA/beyond

• Consultative problem-solving skills

• Excellent negotiation capabilities and demonstrated influencing skills.

• Superior presentation skills, communication skills.

• Be able to understand and leverage payments to drive results.

• Ability work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
