Job Description Summary:
The PMM team is setup to drive product commercial success in partnership with Marketing, Global Product and Sales teams. PMM’s accomplish this by deeply understanding and consistently championing the needs of the customer as a representative voice in all discussions and decisions, ensuring product and feature releases solve tangible customer pain points. The Local Market PMM role is responsible for building a deep understanding of the market, competitive landscape, regulatory environment and financial services system as well as local culture & interaction with PayPal’s products & services across all customer segments. The PMM will connect the dots between Market, Global Marketing, Product and Sales teams at a local level to ensure accurate definition and prioritization of product and feature releases, improvements and bug fixes and the successful introduction of these products into the market.
From an inbound perspective, the Local Market PMM continually defines the most important customer needs and opportunities. They actively engage with local customers to deeply understand their needs as well as any unique country, regulatory, and currency requirements. Local Market PMMs create a clear understanding of opportunities across product and segment in their market to allow prioritization at the global level.
They also help answer priority customer questions and requests with the local business, providing deep expertise about our products and how they are best used, appropriately handing off issues and bugs to the Product PMMs. Market PMM’s will constantly collaborate with their PMM and Product Management (PM) peers across the globe to distill the set of needs across all countries and regions into an overall set of globally prioritized needs and opportunities.
During all phases of the product lifecycle, PMM’s relentlessly represent the customer needs and bring the voice of the customer into all interactions and decisions.
From an outbound perspective, the Local Market PMM performs the in-market activities to ensure successful Pilot testing and Product feedback. In addition they also lead the local execution of any deprecation of a product.
They orchestrate local GTM across sales, marketing & functions at country level and ensure local understanding of global product delivery. The Local Market PMM constantly evaluates end to end journeys to identify both new experience and optimization opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in –
- managing complex initiatives
- influencing senior stakeholders across the organization
- working with Product Management teams to define and deliver customer features and solutions
