We are now looking for an exceptional person to help take the Partner Success organisation to the next level. 

Given the scale Zip is reaching in key markets and the rapid global expansion there is a need to consolidate and optimise our payments platforms and payment partnerships. 

In addition, we are moving to new models leveraging scheme rails and requiring specific needs in each new market we enter. Bringing this together in a global view is imperative to our success.  

The Strategy Manager/Senior Analyst – Global Payments will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Deep Understanding of Payments Landscape and Opportunities for Zip  
  • Pull together a consolidated view of payment trends across markets 
  • Complete deep dives on new opportunities and competitor payment use cases  
  • Educate payments team other executives on payment landscape and trends
  • Develop recommendations on new trends/opportunities eg. Open Banking, RTPs
  • Develop Zip's Global Payment Strategy and Infrastructure Requirements 
  • Synthesise current and future product roadmap into global strategy
  • Work with Heads of Payment Product (AU and ROW) to create architecture plans  
  • Identify key partners across markets with a focus on New Market entry requirements
  • Assist with frameworks and analysis of trade-off decisions 
  • Work with New Markets and Payment Product Teams to close deals with partners
  • Drive Team Planning and Execution
  • Consolidate execution plans and develop tracking framework
  • Prepare the weekly Global Payments Team meeting agenda and presenters  
  • Ensure follow-up on key actions items assigned to the team
  • Work with CCO on key presentations to executive and board on execution to plan 
  • Lead Payments Analysis and Performance Reporting
  • Be lead analyst on commercial deals with Issuers, Acquirers and other partnerships
  • Develop models for revenue and cost analysis of payments operations by market
  • Consolidate and develop insights on monthly revenue/cost/fraud trends 
  • Work with payments leadership to review overall payments economics structures 
  • Live the Zip Values 
  • Display and hold others accountable for living the Zip Values: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together, Change the Game

To help us level up, you'll bring:

  • 2+ years at leading consulting organisation such as Bain/McKinsey
  • 5-7 years in payments related company, eg. Visa/MC, Paypal, Bank, Acquirer/Issuer
  • Experience in ecommerce, retail, payments or technology related businesses
  • Strategic thinker and influencer to get others to follow
  • Sound financial & commercial acumen, with experience in complex modelling
  • Ability to process, analyse and think “outside the box” to get results
  • Ability to collaborate with, influence & persuade others with structured thinking
  • Results-orientated with a record to prove it and strong customer first ethic
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels within an organisation.
