The role

As the Compliance and Risk Officer, you'll report into the Senior Manager, Compliance and Operational Risk. You will be the first point of contact for all operational risk and compliance related enquiries and will own your projects. You will have the opportunity to work with all business unit, in particular, Finance, Product, Sales and Credit Operations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Maintaining and monitoring the compliance & operational risk framework
  • Ensuring business wide compliance through internal reviews
  • Assisting with reporting to senior and executive managers
  • Develop and undertake business wide compliance training
  • Facilitate and manage key steering forums and committees
  • Manage the risk incidents register and record, triage and investigate all reported operational risk incidents
  • Advise on all AML, financial crime and fraud matters and facilitate relevant risk reviews as required
  • Support and assist the delegated AML Officers to review processes, controls and submit suspicious reports/events and submit annual reports etc
  • Oversee all AML Program compliance obligations periodically, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Take the lead role in financial crime and fraud related projects including any transaction monitoring and fraud risk scoping projects
  • Investigate fraud related incidents

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance and/or risk
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant experience and knowledge in AML processing and management
  • Strong business writing, investigation, and reporting skills
  • High attention to detail and commercial acumen
