    We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Engineering Practices in our Enterprise Technology Services team at Cuscal.

  The Head of Engineering Practices is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience through the implementation of Cuscal’s broad suite of solutions. The function has end to end accountability for the Plan/Build/Run of Engineering Practices. The role will support the CIO to deliver and provide strong practice management, oversight, reporting and measurement of outcomes for Domains and other ETS teams. This role’s direct reports will include the following: Engineering Practice Manager, BA Practice Manager and QA Practice Manager.

 In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Development and Delivery of Practice Management maturity roadmaps of aligned Practices to support the success of Product Domains
  • Delivery of standardised modern development/testing frameworks and embed governance to increase quality and reduce cost to serve
  • Embed a DevOps roadmap and execute the design, delivery and maturity of the practice
  • Support and lead highly resilient and scalable platforms – including the planning and execution of lifecycle management activities
  • Deliver process and controls to continuously improve quality and productivity metrics across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including benchmarking capability against best practice
  • Forecast supply of delivery resources to meet the Domain pipelines
  • Work in collaboration with P&C to develop Talent attraction and Retention strategies to build Cuscal’s Practice depth and capability
  • Develop resourcing strategies to reduce dependency on suppliers and reduce key person risk
  • Adherence to PMO Practice governance to initiate and track projects in alignment to Project Governance framework
  • Support the organisational transformation of Cuscal 3.0
  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives, implement knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to improve the client implementation and onboarding experience
  • Collaborate with Heads of community to drive process uplift and efficiencies in delivery.

  About you:

You are a seasoned leader with contemporary knowledge in ICT Engineering solutions gained from working within a large enterprise. You will have demonstrable experience working in a transformative environment which required you to implement practice delivery techniques and frameworks to ensure that quality outcomes are achieved against Product Domain priorities. You are highly energised and a natural collaborator who can galvanise teams into action. To ensure success in this role you will be commercially astute with exemplary stakeholder management and influencing skills.
