THE ROLE

This is an exciting role which suits an entrepreneurial individual with successful track record in strategic Channels relationship and selling through Partners to drive, influence and increase Temenos outreach and market share with top tier banking and financial institutions.

The Partner Manager, Greater China will be responsible for engaging and enabling local sales channels, familiarize them with deals’ requirements, generate leads, develop opportunities and increase revenue. He/ she shall be accountable for decisions on partners’ account strategy, direction and tactics.

The Partner Manager will oversee Partners’ relationship management activities and program including on-boarding, enablement, product training and operational support. The role requires the Partner Manager to be highly effective in evaluating, negotiating and qualifying potential partnership opportunities including joint sales program covering details of scopes, milestone, financial arrangements as well as commercial terms setting. It is expected that the Partner Manager will have regular pipeline discussions with the sales channels.

Collaborating with the region’s stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Marketing and Client Services), the individual is accountable to define and develop a sustainable mid to long term Strategic Alliance Partner business plan with specific go-to-market strategy with targeted Partners.

The Partner Manager will abide by the due diligence processes for onboarding a sales or delivery partner – guidance will be provided by the Regional Partner Manager APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Summarize key findings (SWOT analysis) on partner positioning within the financial software solution industry
  • Define and prioritize partner strategy with regional sales team and with regional partner manager.
  • Define and implement partner management action plan with measurable objectives, milestone, marketing campaigns focus and defining the list of priorities for 3 years
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Temenos GRC Partners, managing day-to-day relationships and pro-actively nurtures strong partner relationships and collaborations.
  • Responsible for achieving business pipeline, quota and bookings for Partners & Channels stream.
  • Work closely with Partners’ C-level leaders to drive/ influence industry alignment and synergy, growth strategies, solution development.
  • Define and execute strategic rationale for Partners & Channels based on ecosystem analysis, TEMENOS business objective and strategy.
  • Screening and qualifying potential Partners, abide by Global Partner Management due diligence processes and formalizing partner agreements (with support from Regional Partner Manager).
  • Effectively executing and monitoring progress of each Partner/ Channel’s deliverables and commitment.
  • Drive issues to expedient and optimal resolution.
  • Acting as an internal champion on behalf of assigned Partners; facilitating engagements with various BU Heads and Product groups within TEMENOS to build strong long term partnerships between TEMENOS and Partners accounts.
  • Spearhead and organize Partners’ Sales Education/ Enablement workshop, Product training/ updates, Channel sales enabling activities etc.

Skills & Experience

  • 7-10 years’ notable experience and strong record of building (‘open-doors’) and maintaining sales-driven partner relationship in solution/ software domain.
  • Successfully leading high stakes Partner projects and Partner teams in highly cross-functional/ matrix environments.
  • Possess leadership credential, eloquence communication as well as crisp industry knowledge plus trends to forge and optimize relationships with Partners, Clients and internal Business stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of banking and finance environment. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Sharpness to identify collaboration and sales opportunities with Partners.
  • Highly competent in presenting business cases and driving change throughout the organization with regards to “Selling-Through-Partners” approach and methodology.
  • Familiar with Partner agreements on a sales and/or delivery capacity.
  • Preferably a university education in relevant business disciplines.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Mandarin. Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to remain professional and calm under work pressure; being resilient, ambitious and goal-oriented plus having team-spirit synergy.
  • Strong leadership ability to scale from high-level to complex discussions and influence/facilitate results across functions.
  • Able to work independently.
