Director, Products and Solutions, Consumer Product

Overview

Market Product Lead for Consumer Products across the market with management responsibilities for the Consumer product in country staff. This position will report to the Head of Consumer Products, Greater China Division, who manages the divisions and segments for Consumer Products in Greater China

  • Manages market team in HK and Macao
  • Detailed understanding of Consumer Products with the focus on credit and debit products across different tiers.

Role

  • Ability to integrate knowledge across disciplines (i.e., sales, operations, and function in an unstructured environment with minimal day-to-day supervision.)
  • Ability to execute sales enablement strategies and effectively communicate product benefits as they relate to market and issuer needs
  • Ability to keep abreast of the external forces which affect issuing consumer program entities, and to assess the impact of these on MasterCard's business opportunities while working through levels of the prospect organization, and developing strategic business solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be effective with diverse internal and external audiences

All About You

  • Experience working with P&L’s and how they relate to the investment and development of Consumer Products.
  • Experience managing a team
  • Execute regional strategy, aligned with global, along with the customer facing sales teams, regional product team and secure division management commitment to execute.
  • Work with the global product management teams, customer delivery and implementation, commerce development and other personnel to develop and execute the product development priorities and initiatives within the market
  • Develop and implement market product development strategies and provide sales enablement solutions.
  • Deep understanding of all consumer products: Credit and Debit
  • Be the MasterCard thought leader for consumer segment
  • Work with sales teams to develop and grow issuer portfolios in consumer segment
  • Responsible for the development and communication of market innovation as agreed with the region and global
  • Lead cross\-functional business reviews in conjunction with Global team
  • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. LS, marketing and MD) on implementation for new and custom product benefit implementations that require infrastructure development
  • Experience developing and marketing products and services to issuers / partners in consumer segment
  • Extensive general management experience with a proven ability to influence and motivate others to achieve objectives
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. Excellent oral / written communications, negotiation, project / matrix management skills are critical
