Job Description
Business Planning & Sales Strategy team develops strategic plans and continuously adapts the strategy in response to the changes in the external environment. The team also runs the overall program management and sales operations, including the cadence of monthly / quarterly business & sales reviews, management reporting, annual operating plan, strategic initiatives, pricing and interchange strategy. We are an agile and highly visible team that works across business functions in market as well as with regional and global strategy, business planning and sales operations teams.
What a Senior Manager, Business Planning & Sales Strategy – South Asia does at Visa:
This position will report into the Country Manager for the South Asia market and the role may be based out of Dhaka (Bangladesh) or Mumbai (India). The individual will perform a wide range of duties that will shape Visa’s overall business strategy for these markets. S/he will develop strategic plans and provide key market insights for informed decision making. S/he will work closely with diverse teams to manage key initiatives and report progress against plan to the leadership team. The role also requires the individual to collaborate with business teams on structuring and monitoring client partnership deals, supporting onboarding of new clients, managing account plans on Playbook, etc.
S/he will identify and analyse market trends and apply this information in development of strategies for individual market segments. S/he will also monitor business climate, trends in technology and innovation, government and regulatory activity in areas that impact Visa’s businesses. The individual will support new business initiatives and pilot programs, and, based on results, make recommendations for adjustments and modifications.

Qualifications
What you will need:
Education And Experience
Strong academic credentials with 10+ years of experience, preferably in strategy & business planning, sales operations, account management/business development in a fast paced environment
Skills
Experience in business planning, business development and client management
Knowledge of sales operations and processes
Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence key members of the organization, and cultivate a high-performing team
Strong business acumen, analytical thinking ability with a problem-solving approach and a keen eye for detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills - capable of developing well-structured communications and presentations to large audiences
Proven ability to build credibility, influence & negotiate at all levels within the organization
What Will Also Help
- Background in banking/fintech/financial services, preferably with strong knowledge of payments
- Experience in working with people from multiple countries and cultures, ideally in complex, matrix management organizations
- Exposure to South Asia markets (Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan) will be an added advantage

- Annual and multi-year strategic planning exercise
- Analysis of new business opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Effective implementation of global account management tool Playbook, sales methodologies and tools
- Cadence of monthly / quarterly business reviews to track / steer business and strategic initiatives
- Pricing and interchange strategies
- Business intelligence and response plans related to competitor activity and regulatory developments
- Coordinate all implementation activities through a broad governance structure, and drive executive alignment at all levels across teams
- Deal structuring, execution and monitoring
- New product/program launches, GTM strategy formulation
Note - This role can be based in Mumbai for a suitable candidate.
