We are an unlisted public company and one of five licensed banks in Australia with full direct connectivity and production capability across all domestic payment systems. Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.

We are looking for an Entry level Payment Operations Officer to join our Product and Services division.

Reporting into the Team Leader, Payment Operations, the role of a Payment Operations Officer is to manage the day-to-day operations for Payment Products. Payments are associated with the end-to-end service delivery of all payment products like Bpay, Direct Entry, Member Chequing and NPP.


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Functions include but are not limited to handling Bpay, Direct Entry, NPP, Member Chequing and NPP function
  • Ensuring that the daily work is actioned within cut-off times, meeting the requirements of our clients, AustPayNet, regulators, and other Financial Institutions
  • Identifying and escalating issues and concerns, client complaints, service failures, supplier failures or non-compliance to Cuscal policy
  • Participate in the roster between 7am and 11pm

This is critical role within the business operations department for this reason the ideal candidate does need to have an eye for attention to detail and the ability to communicate in an effective and proactive manner. Furthermore, your ability to respond to rapidly changing circumstances in a pre-emptive manner in a fast-paced environment will see you succeed in this role.

 As the successful candidate you will have an analytical mindset and can solve problems efficiently. With a proven track record of working with others, you will be self-assured in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships. Moreover, your demonstrated expertise in effective time management of competing priorities in a tight deadline driven environment will be vital to the success of this role. 

You will have a proactive mindset and are confident in grasping information quickly and have a willingness to learn. A relevant tertiary qualification will be highly preferred. Your exposure to and experience of Microsoft applications will also be essential to this role.
