As an Account Executive at Stripe, you will close deals and play an integral role in defining our sales strategy to get startups on Stripe. You’re an energetic and organized self-starter; you understand the sales process, can build relationships with the right decision-makers, and can succinctly define and communicate the specific benefits of Stripe appropriate for each user. You will be a key driver of revenue growth for the company, and on the front lines for evangelizing our product to prospective and existing users.

  • Get emerging startups on Stripe
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for startups and small/medium businesses
  • Turn inbound leads into happy Stripe users, as well as going outbound aggressively to create leads and - establish relationships with potential customers
  • Make every potential Stripe user happy with every interaction, regardless of deal size
  • Identify and understand users’ pain points to propose Stripe solutions
  • Make sure that internal teams are set up for users’ success by coordinating with other Stripe teams

We’re looking for someone with

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales-focused customer/client-facing role, with a track record of top performance
  • 5+ years of experience in sales to Startup users or engagement in Startup community
  • Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships with highly technical customers
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities including comfort with basic modeling
  • Strong interest in technology and products
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/Software company
  • Prior experience selling a highly technical product/service
  • Prior experience in Consulting, PE/Venture or Investment Banking
  • Coding ability
