China Market Entry Strategic Project team is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects under China Market Entry Initiative that consist of several cross-functional workstreams. Including BCCI application, technology & processing, client migration, acceptance readiness, product strategy, rules and policy, etc. The team works with business functions to develop project roadmaps that align to business objectives for opening China domestic market for Visa.
The team is responsible to achieve project goals by engaging effectively with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects, strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners. Also involve frequent interaction and communication with key external stakeholders, including Governments, Acquirers, Issuers, Processors and Vendors.
What a Senior Manager, Strategic Project of China Market Entry does at Visa:
Responsible for managing key projects under China Market Entry Initiatives that consist of Bank Card Clearing Institution (“BCCI”) license application, Governments engagement, strategic account management, management support for resource deployment, etc.
Achieve project goals by engaging effectively with stakeholders at all functions across Visa, including country business partners, finance, and technical IT subject matter experts. This position will also involve frequent interaction and communication with key external stakeholders, including Governments, Acquirers, Issuers, Processors and Vendors.
Work with functional teams to ensure project implementations are on track and delivering against plan. Continuously review market landscape, identifying opportunities that will well position Visa when enter the market
Lead and co-ordinate the project team per governance model as designed. Ensure timely decisions on open issues, escalates if necessary. Achieve project goals (e.g. planning controlling, reporting, risk management, management of internal and external stakeholders). Set up disciplined management of program documentation and manage compliance activities.
This role will report to Vice President, Strategic project and planning, China. The position will be based in Visa Shanghai offices in China and requires business travel as dictated by business needs.

What you will need:
· 5 years+ program/project management experience and PMP certified is preferred
· Ability to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities and timelines at the same time
· Excellent written and oral language skills (Chinese and English)
· Impactful presentation and negotiations skills
· Energetic, creative, and with good analytical abilities
· Strong problem-solving and detailed oriented
· Good leadership skills and ability to work with multiple teams
· Fintech or payment industry knowledge is a plus

Projects you will be a part of:
Engage with processing and product to drive relevance and revenue long term growth for China markets, working across cross-functional teams including Products, Finance, Client Services and Technology.
Engage in a broad range of solution development with external processing partners, and technology partners, etc. to expand Visa products and services aimed at achieving Visa’s strategic agenda in China market entry.
