About The Role

This role will be responsible for developing, delivering and evolving our capability across the Last Mile Team with a goal of delivering exceptional customer experiences whilst meeting key operational KPIs and targets.

The role primarily supports delivery of initiatives within WooliesX agile structure and ways-of-working. Applying an Agile mindset, the role will work with the Last Mile squads and project teams to ensure activities are delivered as effectively & efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Support the planning, management and visibility of all key Last Mile initiatives.
  • Lead and be accountable for delivery of key strategic programs across the Last Mile Tribe.
  • Develop sustainable ways-working, processes, and ensuring appropriate support material exists for key stakeholders starting with our internal Last Mile team, external partners and of course our store teams.
  • Manage modes of communication that provides stakeholders with a clear understanding of the breadth of activities being delivered through eCom.
  • Review initiative deployment plans including communication and team upskill plans and provide feedback in a consultative fashion to ensure plans are consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Build and maintain a capacity roadmap to all upcoming Last Mile related initiatives.
  • Work across multiple support teams & squads to ensure visibility of upcoming initiatives is maintained.
  • Report on capacity for change across our operational sites and channels.
  • There will be an expectation to travel to other Woolies offices/sites, such as Norwest, as well as partner locations on a regular basis.

Who We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of or the ability to build an in depth understanding of critical eCom Systems.
  • An ability to work in an autonomous and self-directing environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong management skills with an ability to communicate effectively, engage stakeholders, and influence outcomes. You will be capable of establishing yourself as a “leader” within the context of the activities you are involved with.
  • Despite having no direct reports, you will have strong influencing skills that enable you to ensure stakeholders and decision makers can make informed choices with a clear understanding of implications.
  • Naturally curious, with a friendly, engaging and flexible style.
  • Proven change management experience.
  • As an SME, you will be a confident coach with a willingness to educate others. You will willingly share your knowledge and actively seek to expand your knowledge base.
  • Ability to work in line with Stores Operations including nights and weekends where required.
  • Computer literate with a high level of analytical skills.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of in-store processes and procedures.
  • Experience in delivering initiatives/projects
