Director, Franchise

Overview

This role offers a dynamic and energetic individual to lead the Franchise function in a Division. Critical to Mastercard, Franchise enables the Mastercard network to scale and monetize our capabilities.

With growing digitization, multi-rail opportunities and new customer segments, this role will offer exciting opportunities to reshape and drive existing as well as new businesses.

• The Franchise Division Lead is the central point of contact for Franchise matters in the Division

• They will shape and implement strategies supporting the 4-pillars - Brand, Safety & Security, Data & Data Usage, Customers

• They will work hand in hand with the Divisional Leadership and be engaged in strategy development, enabling deals with new customers/customer segments, driving performance optimization in the ecosystem

• They are customer-focused, enabling businesses to be conducted expeditiously

• They will lead and drive execution with internal stakeholders and external customers, for traditional/core businesses, evolving digital and new payment flow opportunities in the Division / Country

• They will communicate and provide Franchise leadership within the Division and to Customers

• They possess a breadth of knowledge across all Franchise verticals, and is a Franchise expert as well as a valued advisor

Role

• Proactively provide guidance and ensure early engagement on strategy and execution of initiatives across all Franchise verticals (Core, Architecture & Standards, DRM, Innovation, CEP)

• Deliver Franchise revenue from Franchise Management Programs, Franchise Solutions advisory services

• Engage with Customers to build and deliver Franchise related services as well as generate sales leads for Mastercard Value Added Services

• Provide creative thought leadership focusing on new opportunities, evolving payment flows (digital, non-traditional), multi-rail solutions, new customer segments (instalment providers, fintechs), nationalism, counter-localization

• Partner with Business Development, Product, Account Teams, Customer Risk, AML, Customer Delivery to create and implement solutions for strategic initiatives

• Ensure Customer Onboarding is executed with CRM principles, within SLA timelines for a seamless and delightful customer experience

• Ensure a risk-based approach for Customer engagements, focusing on

• Be well-versed with the regulatory landscape

• Identify process efficiencies as well as improvement using automation and simplification technology

• Participate in Division Management and/or Business meetings; communicate Regional strategies, initiatives, and best practices

• Collaborate and communicate with Region vertical leads to ensure overall alignment at the regional and global levels
