What you need to know about the role- The FP&A Senior Analyst will support financial planning processes and track PayPal Braintree revenue performance. This is a varied role in scope, entailing tracking and understanding daily/weekly/monthly financial performance as well as producing monthly forecasts, reports, and annual budgets. Meet our team Braintree, Payouts & RaaS FP&A team acts as key Finance Partners to Braintree Product team at PayPal, providing the connection between product, analytic, and corporate finance. You will report into the FP&A Lead and will be part of the FP&A team based in San Jose but with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple time zones.

The FP&A Senior Analyst will support financial planning processes and track PayPal Braintree revenue performance. This is a varied role in scope, entailing tracking and understanding daily/weekly/monthly financial performance as well as producing monthly forecasts, reports and annual budgets.
Your way to impact
A successful candidate will be highly analytical in nature with a development mindset. You help to track daily financial performance, build forecast models, support month-end close, and conduct variance analysis. This role will need to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Controllership, Corporate FP&A, and a broad group of business stakeholders namely Product teams.
Your day to day
- Owning monthly and daily forecast models of Braintree revenue
- Providing real time insight into business performance and financial results of Braintree topline, perform variance and sensitivity analyses on (daily/weekly/monthly) revenue performance for merchants
- Identifying key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders up-and-down the organization to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborating with Controllership and data teams to support month end closing
What Do You Need To Bring-
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated proficiency in large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL and reporting tools (Essbase)
- Experience & demonstrated interest in building and challenging financial models.
- Detail-oriented, highly analytical individual who strives for excellence and wants to be part of a great team.
- High energy and a true desire to understand the drivers of the business.
- Excellent English proficiency.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $52800 to $136510
