Director, B2B Marketing - 6 month FTC
The Integrated Marketing & Communications team in the UK & Ireland is looking for an Issuer Marketing Director for 6 month FTC to develop and deliver a holistic strategy for Bank and Fintech partners in the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering value to consumers and customers through customer-centric product value propositions, best-in-class customer experience journeys and compelling issuer campaigns. The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with marketing colleagues, with products and account teams, and the wider business to deliver a comprehensive customer marketing strategy that support UK&I business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Owns and delivers the issuer marketing strategy for customers in the UK and Ireland, aligning with key stakeholders, and jointly prioritising, in order to deliver on business priorities with greatest impact. Addressing Voice of the Customer survey as it relates to marketing
- Leads the issuer marketing team and agency partners, setting vision, goals, process and managing performance including budget, agency scopes and responding to Voice of the Customer surveys.
- Supports the development of best in class and cost-effective B2B, and B2B2C marketing platforms which specifically deliver to key business objectives, new products, key cardholder segments and new product functionality
- Leads sell-in and customer support for delivery of strategic priorities, including Priceless. Partners with customers to manage and optimise Priceless content and experiences in order to deliver on customer objectives
- In partnership with Mastercard account teams, and other cross functional partners, forms close relations with UK and Ireland customers, builds an intimate understanding of their businesses and develops jointly agreed marketing plans designed to deliver differentiation and revenue growth
- Oversees execution of global brand B2B customer marketing strategy by ensuring consistent brand positioning and management of assets with customers
- Advances organization's thought leadership efforts by overseeing creation of unique Mastercard perspectives and communications on emerging trends and opportunities for customers
- Deliver best in class marketing support to account teams with new business pitches, responses to RFP and sales discussions. Recommends future adjustments based on results of campaign performance measurement and evaluation
All About You
- Strong background in marketing, ideally where the end user of a product or service is not a direct customer. Commercially focused marketing expertise in B2B and B2C, Brand management, direct marketing, digital execution and measurement
- Experience in driving marketing initiatives to support customer lifecycle management
- Strong strategic skills with the ability to recognize, scope and develop opportunities into an innovative vision which challenges self and others
- Good influencing skills to garner support and advocacy. Be able to sell ideas both internally and with customers, be able to set direction and capture the commitment of people to achieve goals as well as overcoming obstacles and taking appropriate risks
- Project management skills are a key requirement given that this role involves managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Creative thinker with a desire and tenacity to test innovative customer solutions for potential roll-out and ability to turn qualitative and quantitative data and information analysis into actionable insights
- Very strong achievement drive to deliver results. Can do attitude, self-motivated, intellectually curious and analytical
- Proven people leadership skills with experience in navigating a matrix organisational structure
