About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior UX Researcher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research opportunities and uncover meaningful human-centred insights that help define and drive the future of our product and experience design. You will be responsible for planning and conducting research using a mixed methods approach, partnering closely with key stakeholders, mentoring UX designers, and communicating research findings to all relevant stakeholders. You will also be expected to share our values and work in accordance with those values, ensuring that research practices across the organization are of high quality and meet established standards and guidelines.

- Plan and conduct research utilising a mixed methods approach including desk research, in-depth interviews, surveys, concept/prototype and usability testing
- Partner closely with key stakeholders across design, engineering, data science, and leadership to establish trust and collaboration to deliver actionable insights
- Identify the best research strategies and methodologies based on business needs and project goals
- Communicate research findings and recommendations in clear, concise, and compelling ways to all relevant stakeholders including Executives and the broader organisation
- Mentor and coach UX designers
- Provide a deep understanding of customers’ needs, behaviours, and motivation
- Identify and define research opportunities and develop a research project pipeline
- Advocate the research practice across the broader organisation
- Ensure that research practices across the organisation are high quality and meet the established standards and guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human behaviour related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)
- Experience within UX, Human-Computer Interaction, applied research, and/or product research and development
- Extensive experience leading research studies: planning, recruiting, carrying out, analyzing and presenting
- Experience in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools
- Strong analytics skills to synthesise a range of mixed method data points to create actionable insights and recommendations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisions
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to flex research plans depending on team needs, understanding and clearly communicating trade-offs
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills and a highly developed ability to rally a team together and inspire change
- Experience mentoring and helping designers and POs become better researchers, such as providing feedback on research methods, plans, interview techniques, or final reports
