We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join our Open Banking domain.
Reporting to the QA Manager, the main purpose of this role is to ensure that quality assurance principles, aspects and processes are adhered to, and testing outcome is delivered enabling quality within the developed solution.
You must have testing experience with API testing to be considered for this role
As Cuscal’s Senior QA Analyst – Open Banking your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in grooming sessions and defining/refining the acceptance criteria
- Provide detailed estimates for verifying and validating the individual acceptance criteria of the user stories
- Define the scenarios that can be run with mocks and the test that must be run end to end.
- Prepare mocks to align to the requirements to support early verification
- Automate the scenarios in sprints
- Integrate the automation code to develop automation scripts that can be used for end-to-end verification
- Prepare test cases and execute them within the estimated capacity
- Align the test execution to the test schedule or communicate to the scrum master when schedule changes
- Provide and receive inputs on prioritisation with the product owner
- Perform initial analysis when issues and bugs are identified to evaluate the area of fix
- Design the testing component in implementation plans and carries out implementation verification
- Provide testing support to production issues
- Regularly update the knowledge artefacts to keep the KM repository up to date
- Coordinate in the onshore/offshore model to get the tests delivered
- Provide supporting, coaching and guidance to the QA group
About You
This is highly observable role within Cuscal, and it requires the ideal candidate to have thorough knowledge in API testing (minimum of at least 4 years as a guide) to be considered for this role. Ideally your experience of formulised testing processes and skill in developing test cases and test scripts preferably from the Open Banking domain will see you succeed in this role. Additionally, you will have proven track record in performing systems testing, systems integration testing, regression testing and performance testing. Your technical competencies in API testing and IAM will see you go far in this role.
As a Senior QA Analyst, you will bring with you your ability to create mocks for API using Lisa, mocklabs. Furthermore, you will have an ability to write cURLS based on swagger and using Postman for manual and automation testing will be critical to the accomplishment in this role. Knowledge of using JavaScripts to write assertion in Postman and your experience in using cordless testing automation tools and your understanding of CI/CD integration will be vital.
As the ideal candidate, you will have strong analytical skills with the ability to grasp systems, processes, and operations effectively. Furthermore, your high level of accuracy and attention to detail will be essential to this role. With the ability to communicate effectively within a multi-layered stakeholder environment, you will be confident in building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Your ability to coach, mentor and guide other members of the team will see you reinforce your seniority in the team.
Your knowledge of defect tracking process, JIRA and Confluence will be highly desirable. Likewise, a degree in Information Technology will be looked upon favourably.
