Description
Reconciliations Specialist
London
At Freetrade, we believe investing should be accessible to everyone. It's one of the best ways to grow your savings but, for many, it seems complicated, expensive, and out of reach.
We're here to change that.
We're a technology company that brings simple investing to everyone. We've built a beautiful app to buy and sell shares and ETFs in a fluid, mobile-first experience.
We're building a team with diverse and unique perspectives in order to help us on our mission to demystify investing.
Our goal is to help our customers achieve better, long-term financial outcomes.
In 2023, we'll be launching across the EU, following our successful launch in Sweden. We'll also be transforming our product, developing new features and introducing new products. In the UK, we now have over 1.3m registered users, offering a range of products like the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and our premium plan, Freetrade Plus.
Our growth has all been possible because of the backing of a passionate group of over 15,000 crowdfunding investors. As we've scaled, we've also raised money from world-class growth investors including Left Lane Capital, Molten Ventures, and
L Catterton.
We are looking for an exceptional Reconciliations Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out daily client money and asset reconciliations across our UK & European business. The role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to utilise technology solutions and automation to drive efficiency and reduce reconciliation breaks and exceptions. You will report to David Lumer, our Associate Director of CASS in London but work closely with our wider Brokerage Operations and Finance teams.
You will:
- Complete daily cash and stock reconciliations
- Report daily cash and stock breaks across the business
- Collaborate closely with the Operational teams in the UK to ensure all cash and stock breaks are resolved in a timely manner and to prevent rule breaches
- Test, implement, and document any process changes and review procedures periodically to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Partner with the UK client assets team to improve efficiency of processes and effectiveness of controls and carry out on going assurance exercises to test control framework
- Implement process checklists to standardise processes across Operation teams and seek to mitigate operational risks.
- Be involved with ad-hoc project work to help grow our business
- Work across our other business units to improve our client service and support new products
About you:
- You will be highly numerate
- You will be strong at data reporting and analysis
- Love a challenge, able to make an impact, and take ownership of your work
- You will be willing to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced working environment where you can act on and share ideas
Logistics & Benefits
The application process consists of a 4 stage process. You will initially have a phone interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists, followed by a hiring manager screen with our Associate Director of CASS David Lumer, a cultural and behavioural interview and a final interview with the wider team.
We offer a competitive salary plus stock options and lots of other benefits.
You'll have a stake in the company you're building, with stock options benchmarked to US companies.
We are an Equal Opportunity employer committed to a diverse and representative team. Whatever your race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability - we want to hear from you. We're very open about what we're working on, and the best places to learn more are our buzzing community forum and our blog.
